Manischa and Alison

Manischa hails from Germany and is with us just for the semester. She is excited that she can take dance lessons at Brighton. She has madfe quite a few friends with the girls in the neighborhood and is looking forward to meeting lots more.

Alison is staying with Hirschi family. Having no teenagers of their own they were nervous how she might fit in, but things are going so well. Alison and Michelle have become fast freinds. Alison is attending Brighton High School and has joined the French club. She is also participating in the youth group at the Hirschi's church. The day after Alison's arrival she joined her host faily in a camping trip, it was her first time and it seems she survived.

Juan, Chris and Mark

Juan is staying with Cox family in Price. He is aclamating well to his new environment. He would like to join the tennis team in the spring and has already joined a gym near home. Sandi say that he goes everyday. Juan works well with the Cox family and has already started working on his service hours for the year helping Bill with a neighbors yard.

Chris and Mark are both staying with the Pattens this year, down in Price. They are attanding Pinnacle Acdemy and are so excited to be here. Chris is looking forward to trying out for the soccer team and Mark is going to spend the first part of his visit working on his english. Both of the boys are enjoying the Pattens home they actively participate in family activities. Both boys hope to make this an amazing year.

Hyun & Cecilie

Cecilie arrived on Saturday. Her host mom says that she is extremely helpful and they are getting along wonderfully. Cecilie is hoping to be able to play on the Soccer team and is looking forward to doing some of her community service hours at Primary Childrens Hospital. She wants to help the sick children there.

Erica (Hyun) arrived and her family is so happy she is here. She has tried cheese for the first time and is looking forward to starting school. Her host family is so excited to be sharing America with her. They took her to the water park last week and have already fallen in love with her.

Theresse & Gabriel

Gabriel arrived on the 9th and is adjusting amazingly well. He already speaks very well and has made fast freinds with Kayla and Lorna. He is looking forward to starting school and participating in sports while he is here. The Baldwins are happy to have him here as well.

Theresse arrived on August 1st! She and the Smiths have been getting along well and are in Lake Powell this week for vacation. I received word from Amanda that Theresse has already joined the Stansbury Park Swim team and will be compeeting with them this next year.
